Last year for Thanksgiving Jarond's family did a service project and put together hygiene kits. We've decided it will probably be a family tradition to do some kind of service project every Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteWhenever we're able to we like to sponsor a family for Sub-for-Santa at Christmas time. Our kids love being "Santa's helpers" and going shopping for another family. Some of the most special holiday moments our family has had together have been when we get to drop off the gifts and see how grateful people are for the help. We did this before we had kids, too and it was so much fun to shop for toys and clothes when we didn't have kids of our own. Mya is already asking about doing it this year. I HIGHLY recommend it!
