Age isn't just a number

Can't I waive my monthly bills?
just for a few months since--- I'm a busy, loving mom?
Isn't there something I can do to get a few months OFF from paying my bills?
a few months of
FREE cell phone service?
FREE food from the grocery stores to prepare meals for my family?
like on good behavior?! :)

I remember counting down the days till I was 18-
and was able to be an adult.
So I could make my own decisions.

Boy, was I dumb.

It seems like kids try to grow up too fast these day!
Kids in middle school & high school are doing "adult" things,
kids in elementary school and junior high are wanting cells phones,
email addresses,
facebook accounts,
myspace profiles
.
.
.
what is wrong with these young kids??
Be young and irresponsible while you can!

Once you grow up, there is no turning back.

play outside and don't worry about earning money, and buying things.
Just put things you want on your birthday & Christmas lists.
Find your passion and work hard at it- dance, sports, art, music, singing, etc.
develop your skills and talents as much as you can.
try different sports- see what you like.
Participate it your church and school activities-

just be your age.

Be silly with your friends!
Sell lemonade on a hot summer day.
go on scavenger hunts with their neighborhood kids.
invite friends over and bake some yummy holiday treats.
Put together a dance or performance,
then perform it for your family.
(this is my personal fav!)

These are critical years of your life-
and if you aren't going to fight to have them,
then as parents we will fight for you.
it's our job.
you will thank us later.
promise.
