I am torn--
I LOVE my kids doctor- and have trusted him with MANY big decisions
involving my children's health in the past.
He of course is FOR the flu shot.
BUT--
I have heard horror stories!
Causing more sicknesses,
kids having bad reactions to the vaccine,
giving kids the flu,
in addition to other viruses,
etc.
I am not sure what to believe or how I feel about it-
based on FACTS.
Now--
is the time when kids need to get in and get the flu shots if you want them to get one this year.
I need some advice!!
*Are you for or against flu shots?
*What ages SHOULD get them for sure?
*Nasal spray as effective as the shot?
Here is the website I've been looking at...
Hey, Briggy! I also commented on Facebook, but I definitely say yes. I felt it was really important this year for Max and I to get flu shots. I actually would like to prevent Max from getting a respiratory infection like last year. That was scary!!! (And so hard for him). I guess that sure, they can have reactions to the shot, but I believe they are much less severe than regular sickness, aren't they? Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteMy kids just got theirs. My doctor's office really pushes them. I never get them, but my oldest has gotten them every year and has never had a bad reaction!
ReplyDeleteI am not necessarily against them, but I don't give them to my kids... unless it is a 'must have' immunization (for school, etc.) I don't give vaccinations to my kids. My doctor is really good about being down to earth and telling me how it is. He is completely OK with letting mom's choose yes or no. That right there says something to me...
